Feasibility study of the dam in Stermc, Skenderaj municipality, Kosovo

The selection of the axis of the dam in the Klina river valley is related to the geological and topographical conditions. Initially, the concept for choosing the axis was made through the topographic maps of the area, and further, the approval of the axis of the dam was fixed through observations in the valley, seeing several variants.

The variants have taken into account the choice of the axis of the dam, preferably in the narrowest mouth of the valley, from the engineering point of view, this selection also creates the premises for a rational composition of the component works of the dam, such as the way of diverting the river during the construction period , discharge of maximum flows, replacement of water for the needs of the water supply needs of Skënderaj and Drenas Municipalities and other special issues of hydrotechnical works.
